Remember this one?
(Aesop might not like my spin on his classic fable...but oh, well.)
A big old black Crow was gettin' real tired of the dry spell and thinking it may be a good time to start planning his retirement.
And move from Arizona to say...Seattle.
He was about ready to die from thirst and just happened to came upon a Pitcher.
"This is the answer to my prayers! And just in the nick of time or I'd have been a goner for sure," the Crow shrilled while doing his own cocky version of a happy dance.
The Pitcher had clearly once been full of water...but when the Crow put its beak into the vessel's mouth, he found that there was hardly any water left.
And he just couldn't reach far enough to get at the little that was there.
"What the heck?"
But not one to cry "Uncle" he tried...and he tried...and he tried...but finally decided it was hopeless.
He had no other options but to give up.
Then a thought came to him!
He took one small pebble and dropped it into the humongous Pitcher.
Then he took another pebble and dropped that one into the Pitcher.
And then he took another pebble and dropped that one into the Pitcher.
It took every ounce of energy he had...but he picked up still another pebble and dropped it into the Pitcher.
And another.
And one more.
And Another...and another...and still another.
Until at last, he could see the water rising up within his reach.
And after dropping in just a few more pebbles, he was finally able to quench his thirst.
And save his life.
"Thank God I don't have to move to Seattle!"
This fable is everything.
Remember it when you feel like giving up.
...if you work just a little harder each day.
...make just a few better decisions each week.
...close a few more deals each month.
You will drive drastically different year-end results.
Or you could just let us help you.
Talk soon,
P.S I have nothing against Seattle. Just couldn't think of another place that rained three-quarters of the year 🙂
