I've revised my business plan.
Simply surround yourself with really smart women.
That's it.
Yeah, they're a little bossy but they keep me in line.
Our executive assistant has been with us (virtually) for years and knows more about my properties, ads and leads than I do.
And what she doesn't know, she just figures it out on her own.
She handles my inbox, responds to emails, and let's me knows what needs my personal attention.
She's not allowed to leave...ever! (Monica, thanks for putting up with me! Sure you don't want to move to Pittsburgh?)
My office assistant arrived on the scene after several hits and misses.
And in a matter of months, she whipped into shape my "organized" clutter.
In fact, after about a month of onboarding and training...she just basically took charge of systemizing anything and everything that she saw me doing.
Everything that I knew had to be done but didn't have the time nor the technical know-how to do it.
Carry on, Tina!
I'm tellin' ya, people...hire smart women!
Everything had been going so swimmingly that I let down my guard.
There was actually one day when my appointments had been run and I was sitting at my desk.
And for one brief moment I thought, "Sh*t, I have absolutely nothing I have to do right now."
Strangest feeling in the world. Couldn't remember the last time I had that feeling.
Didn't last long until the phone rang and business-as-usual kicked in...but a sense of gratefulness kind of washed over me.
Enough sentiment.
Back to making a mistake.
Last week, Tina didn't show up...for three days.
Not like her at all.
I can pretty much set my clock on when I hear her motorcycle roar to a stop...and her very bubbly greeting of "Morning, Art! Can't wait to get started today!" that has grown on me.
By Sunday, I was really starting to worry after calling and not getting any answer.
Worried...first, that she was ok.
Worried...second, that she might not come back.
And if that was the case, "How the hell am I going to figure out what she's done?"
Over the years, Monica has diligently documented all her processes.
But with Tina, I was so relieved that long over-due help had arrived that I completely forgot to have her document.
This story does have a happy ending, thank God.
Tina was in the hospital and is ok.
She's back at the office...and documenting has commenced.
Moral of the story?
You might assume that it's to be sure to document all your processes.
Nope...hire smart women 🙂
I can't help you find them, but I can help you with sales funnels that work.
