Small business owners wear a lot of hats.
Adding online marketer to the collection can be more than slightly intimidating. The learning curve can be steep. And unless you have someone to show you the ropes, the feeling of overwhelm quickly sets in.
We invited one of our coachig students to share her story.
Do you sometimes struggle just to get through the day? And do you have frequent struggles in your online business?
Most likely, you answered, "Yes!"
If you are like me, you are probably used to struggle and frustration especially when dealing with our online businesses.
I mean...we all know about trials and tribulations. And that we are supposed to work hard and struggle, not have it easy...right?
I am here to debunk the "struggle" theory and to show you how you can remove struggle from your online business.
Here's the deal. In life and in our online businesses, we all have Challenges.
It is just that we have been made to believe that our challenges are struggles. They Are Not. We make them our struggles.
Perfect example. Just recently, I made a really huge mistake. I was following the WordPress Start-to-Finish course that Art and Cheryl offer.
During the course, I became extremely frustrated because I kept thinking I was doing something wrong...I could not get WordPress to download on my domain, or so I thought.
You know what happens when you become frustrated and when you struggle with something for a long time? Yes, you make mistakes. I totally wiped out my primary website in the process.
After recovering from my melt down, I contacted my hosting company - and fortunately, they were able to recover my website.
The moral of the story is that I was faced with a Challenge. A very natural occurrence in every day business, wouldn't you agree?
Initially, rather than focusing on the solution to my problem, I lost my cool and actually made it a struggle!
Jim Rohn says, "Focus on the solution, not the problem." I can guarantee the next time I am faced with a problem, I will consider it a challenge and not make it into a struggle.
In the book One Minute Millionaire, there is an affirmation, part of which is: "I love challenges. I conquer my wealth building mountains with glee and joy in my heart."
I say our lives and businesses are tough enough...especially when we allow our situations to control us and get out of hand.
The only way to remove struggle from our online business is to just deal happily with our challenges.
