Ever play Nintendo growing up?
Or have kids/grandkids who'd rather play Xbox (or whatever the latest gaming craze is) than eat?
Hours upon hours of practicing.
You learn how to read your enemies.
Develop good instincts by playing against good players.
And then at some point...you hear about "cheat codes" and "hacks" and a whole new world opens up.
You can skip levels or unlock super powers...so I'm told by my nephew and his buddies.
To really serious gamers, cheat codes are like a secret weapon.
...to even the playing field against their top competitors.
...to push 'em on to the next plateau.
Is it really cheating?
Well, it's certainly not like sneakin' a peek at exam answers from the smart, hot-looking girl sitting next to you in your high school Calc class.
Probably closer to hacking at golf. Paul Harvey once said, "Golf is a game in which you yell 'fore,' shoot six and write down five."
In other words, you cheat.
So from what I gather, cheat codes are more like built-in leverage codes.
And leverage is a biz owner's secret weapon.
What's the one thing every business owner wishes they had more of?
The one thing that has the highest ROI.
Yep...you guessed it. It's TIME.
And TIME is also your "TELL."
I can tell by looking at a person's emails, ads and offers if they've "made it" or not.
And here's the thing...
If I can see your "tell" - you can bet your birdie (see, now I've got golf on the brain) that others will too.
And believe it or not...it's not your graphics.
It's not your copy.
It's not even your Russell Brunson "3 Million in 3 Hours" ClickFunnel sales funnels that gives it away....it is your offer.
I know plenty of business owners who have slick-looking funnels who are struggling.
I also know people who are making millions with old, outdated and just "crappy" sites. The old Dan Kennedy style sales pages.
Here are the "tell" clues...
You offer your own time upfront to cold traffic.
You offer your own time to cold or warm traffic that isn't pre-qualified.
You personally take phone calls from anyone.
You schedule phone calls with anyone.
I guarantee that a busy, successful person has no time to put themselves at the front end of a cold funnel or talk to everyone.
How do you fix this?
What if you are desperate for work?
Look, we've all hit slow or rough patches. I get it. It's part of being an entrepreneur, and I've gone through my share of dry spells.
But do NOT act desperate.
People can sense it a mile away.
Automate the front end as much as you possibly can.
It's is the only way you can offer low cost products and high client volume.
Don't offer calls or anything that depends on you unless they've been pre-screened, high ticket, and/or put some money on the line before the call.
This shows your time is valuable.
Then...leverage your valuable time with high-end price points.
Here's your secret weapon.
