Keep, Donate, Burn

So we all know what day it is!

It's the day when we men typically mess up big time or hit it out of the park.

Guys, the pressure is on 🙂

There's one question that invariably comes up during the course of the day...and we need to answer it right.

Otherwise, it'll be a long day. And that is...

"Honey, why do you love me?"

And this is where our go-to reply of "I don't know...I just do!" doesn't cut it. lol

So good luck, gentlemen! And ladies, don't be too hard on us...we really do try 🙂

But...it's a good question!

As business owners and entrepreneurs, we need to know exactly what we love to do, what we don't love to do, and why.

When Cheryl and I started Barron Marketing, we were at a crossroads...

My mortgage business was dying and I'd been dabbling in affiliate marketing and network marketing to make up for the hit in income.

Cheryl had been teaching school for over 25 years and was trying to help me while still teaching.

We had to make a decision...

Were we all in or not?

So I closed the doors to my mortgage business and she retired early.

And Barron Marketing was born.

After three years of hard work and doubling our business for three years straight...I realized something was really wrong.

I didn't love what I was doing...

Don't get me wrong...there was plenty that I did love:

+ Helping good people get results for their business.

+ Building something out of nothing together with Cheryl.

+ Generating a great income for us and our team.

But, here was what stuck in my craw and ate at my insides:

+ I missed the mortgage industry and the connections I still had.

+ I hated the technology part of using Infusionsoft...there I said it! (Love the results it brings but absolutely hated the learning curve!)

+ Most of all...I felt like I wasn't contributing my fair share. Cheryl was doing the lion's share which was Infusionsoft implementation and training.

As a man, I'm telling you...seeing her put in 16-hr days just didn't sit well with me.

So now she runs the day-to-day of Barron Marketing along with our amazing team of experts...and I run Barron Properties, our wholesale property investment business.

We both love what we do now...and are excited to get up in the morning to slay the dragon yet again.

That's just our story. You have your own story. And what's exciting is that...

Any story can be rewritten...one chapter at a time.

We're our own bosses. We call our own shots.

Figure out what you truly love about what you do...keep doing that. And the rest?

Delegate or delete it!
