FedEx Guys Have the Best Job

FedEx guys seriously have one of the most interesting jobs ever.

They know everything people order...how often they order it...when they pause and take a break from whatever they're ordering.

Kinda creepy if you think about it.

Sort of like garbage men but in reverse...I know, my mind works in strange ways.

Sort of like how Infusionsoft can tell you who is opening your emails.

Who is clicking on email links...and which links get the most clicks.

And how long it's been since a lead has been MIA...hasn't opened an email, clicked a link, submitted a form, made a purchase. Nada, zip.

So I have a theory...

You can tell a lot about a person from what [Fill in the Blank] of the Month Club they belong to.

Back to the FedEx guy...there must be days when he shakes his head after making yet another monthly "club" delivery and thinks, "Whoa, Mrs. Jones...I had no idea!"

Now Cheryl belongs to the Book of the Month Club and loves it.

Me? Yep, I'm more of a Beer of the Month Club guy.

Full disclosure...that was two decades ago. Old girlfriend. Great gift! Girlfriend leaves...and the beer stops lol

The thing that makes a subscription so successful (for the vendor) and enticing (for the buyer) is that you can choose:

+ How much (12 beers, 24 beers)

+ How often (monthly, every-other-month, quarterly)

+ When to pause (going on vacation)

You get the idea...you are in charge of the frequency and amount of stuff that comes through your front door.

Shouldn't we be offering our leads and customers the same ability to control what's delivered to their inbox?

When your list is able to take an active role in what you send them and how often...they'll stick around a lot longer.

They'll open your emails, click your call-to-action links, and eventually buy from you.

It's called Engagement.

And it's the most important indicator of emails getting delivered vs getting thrown into their spam/junk/promotions folder.

That's why at the bottom of each of our emails, we have a big old link letting you know that you can customize how often you hear from us...daily, weekly, never.

God forbid you ever leave us...but seriously, I want you to Unsubscribe if my emails aren't helping you at all. It's better for us all that way.

No engagement equals a broken relationship.
